In our area there are many beaches, that are ideal for swim or scuba diving.At Falassarna you can find about 5 beaches.In the big beach there are canteens and umbrellas. Also at the beach there is lifeguard. There is also a mini market near the hotel. Several Tavernas and Restaurants operate in our place, you can find traditional cretan food, cretan wine, and most of the times fresh fish. During the summer time a bar named Orange Blue is a very nice place if you want to enjoy your drinks by wathing the beautifull sunset.
You also can visit the archeological area at Falassarna at the end of the road, there you can see some of the excavations, and some walls from the ancient Falassarna town..

Platanos is the nearest village that you can visit for food or shopping the distance is about 5 km.


Balos is one of the most wonderfull places (shown on top large photo) in the west crete, is really exotic place and a must to visit. You can reach balos by boat (daily cruise) from the port of kissamos (about 12Km from hotel), cruises are available from (May untill the end of October).

Most of our vistors also visit Elafonisi wich is also very nice place ( 1st Left image) where you can enjoy the beatiful sandy beach the distance is about 25 km south. At Elafonisi you can walk to the sea to reach a small Island.

Sfinari is a small vilage (shown 2nd left image) with a nice beach, and some tavernas operating in the sea side, the distance is about 12km.

 

Kissamos is the nearest town that you can visit is about 15 km. there you can find  almost everything you want (shown 3rd left image).
If you still want nightlife, you can go Platanias, or Chania (shown 4rd left image) you can find almost everythig from bars, night clubs, retaurants, traditional suvenir shops, leathers, clothing e.t.c.

If you like longer trips you can visit many other interesting places, such as to pass trough Samaria Gogre, to visit Rethimno town, or visit the famus Knossos at Heraklion.
